Here's a sob story...

Post by ecp88 »

I climbed only one time last season after a glorious, heady wave of climbing seasons. My wife had a rock fall on her head and refuses to climb any more. Another climbing partner got a boyfriend, so climbing is just a memory. Another got a girlfriend, but she dumped him and now he quit climbing to do adventure races. Other partners moved to Colorado (to climb) and to Asheville (to climb and do yoga). Another is injured and having surgery. So there's just me. I spent last year racing bikes, but I've got to climb this year. I've got the gear, a car, beer money, and free weekends this summer. I'm 40 and can lead sport to 5:10 in the shape I'm in now. I'm in Cincinnati, so Saturdays and Sundays are easy for me to get to the Red for day trips.

I would go to rockquest. plenty of people there climb outside and once they've seen you climb and belay a few times, I'm sure you'll find plenty of partners.

Look, fat man. If you wanna climb weekends. You just bring the beer and pick me up on your way down.-Joe

Clevis gets on the board for the first time in 2 months... to offer to climb with someone.

That was disappointing.

I don't think whinning is going to help get you a new climbing partner. Plus it sounds like you're cursed

Shot, he's got beer. Why COULDN'T he find a partner. Marriages have been based on less.
