lol SCIN....just giving props to a very humble gal who rarely made it look difficult...that is inspiring to a guy like me who thinks one more set of pullups is the answer to my every weakness.
but I did work as a carny before working in the Clinton administration as an intern recruiter...the job skills acquired as a carny worked well..."step right up folks..watch this amazing man folks!"
maybe Bush needs my help selling his war, and with damage control over CIA secrets...

Apparently Katie is yesterdays news on the web. The link I posted at the start of this thread is the No. 1 hit I come up with on Google upon entering "katie brown rock climbing". I believe that the last time that I saw her at the Lode was after this interview. I have been fortunate to watch her climb a number of times both at RRG and in comps.
"Be responsible for your actions and sensitive to the concerns of other visitors and land managers. ... Your reward is the opportunity to climb in one of the most beautiful areas in this part of the country." John H. Bronaugh
Yeah, all the old sport climbers said that it was funny to see all these guys hanging out at the Motherlode thinking "wow I'm a badass working this badass man's sport" then up comes a 14-year old girl who very patiently and slowly onsite's the 13 or 14 project they just put up. He he he. Has anyone done "take that katie brown?" That was an Ode to the girl! Okay not really an Ode but still it's cool to have a route named after you.
Jesus only knows that she tries too hard. She's only trying to keep the sky from falling.
