Yeah--it doesn't even have to dispense tickets. It could have 3 buttons on it:

1. I'm donating $5 today
2. I'm donating $10 today
3. I'm not donating to Friends of Muir Valley today.

.....People just need to be confronted

I would hazard that the gate/sign in Coal Bank has raised awareness of the existence of the RRGCC and easily brought in enough donations to justify its cost (not including the emotional costs, of course )... If 95% ignore it completely, the 5% that do respond is enough in an area with that much traffic.

I'm still on board with a fundraiser if even the Webers do agree to a parking fee. I really don't know to much about fundraising but would definately be willing to help out with whatever.

The ideas being offered are thoughtful and achievable.
Just want you all to know that I'm keeping track of 'em and working with some folks to offer lose plans and suggestions to the Webers and FoMV.

Please keep the ideas coming and evolving!!!

I would love to have a MIUR VALLEY sticker or teeshirt.

Also alot of the newer climbers coming to the red do not visit this site and have no ideal what is going on in the gorge, pmrp or muir valley.. Maybe a few more of those [stewards of the muir] to try and reach these climbers..

How are the laws differant from KY to alabama.. how can HP charge a day use fee..and know one minds paying. they seem like they are doing well and climbers get hurt their all the time..

oh now i want a muir valley hoody that would be cool

i think it's "visitor days", including repeat offenders. Rick and Liz count cars and passengers per car on various days over the course of the year to come up with a weighted estimate. Yes that includes weekends and weekdays.
