While this is technically an unofficial response, it is still accurate and we would all appreciate this shared.
The RRGCC receives donations throughout the year to pay a $33,000 mortgage payment on the PMRP. This will be the largest land purchase by a local climbing organization when we pay it off, and that is this year!
We do not financially support the Red River Gorge. The Red River Gorge and the Daniel Boone National Forest are financially supported by every one of us via tax dollars.
Additionally the RRGCC is very cautious about donating money to land that is privately owned where access to climbing is not guaranteed forever.
