Road to PMRP

Post by Steve_BSU »

Hi I am new to this site and am looking to climb at PMRP this saturday. Last I have heard the road was regraveled this fall. Does anyone know what the driving conditions would be like for saturday after getting all of the rain this week? thanks

Sore Heel would be interesting in a car, the hill up in still screwy.

most of the valley part of the road is good, don't know about up the hill since I don't go up there much. if it's bad, retreat to the Lode lot and hike across the wooden bridge and up the new trail to access the hollow.

was just up to sore heel yesterday. as of now do not attempt unless you have a suv with 4 wheel drive. other wise you won't make it and will get stuck

The road out to drive-by was somewhat holey but still fine to drive a front wheeler through. The small earthen bridge over the creek is starting to wash away again though. Will probably need to be worked on this spring. Haven't been up to sore heel in awhile.
