Is my arm ever going to heal completely?
Got in a really bad accident last summer and completely severed my brachialis (muscle connecting to the deltoid and above the tricep), and partially severed my deltoid and tricep. I am not exactly worried about it because I have been having pretty drastic improvements in my strength conditioning leading up to now. The weird thing that I have noticed though is that where my brachialis used to be is now just bone and there really has been no change for about 4-5 months now. Has anyone had an injury like this?

No.
If they had, they are not asking on a climbers board. Try your orthopedic surgeon and physical therapist that might actually understand your case and prognosis.

i just read a story about a mergers and acquisitions analyst who always got a laugh out of the 'where's the fee event?' question from his bosses.
just cause it costs a lot doesn't make it good advice. maybe the guy just wants some shared perspective and not biostatistically trimmed pr.
a good outlook and a role model count for something.
i had some moderately serious trauma and 5 years later still notice skeletal-muscular (an sensory) improvement. good luck-

It isn't a cost issue. It is a knowledge issue. With an involved injury like that, you have to be involved on a level beyond the Internet to offer and type of meaningful advice. Do you really equate the opinion of an orthopedic surgeon who most likely operated on his arm, and a physical therapist that spent months rehabbing him to "biostatistically trimmed pr" (what ever the hell that is)? If all he wants is a group hug and to be told he will get better, then join the nearest Church.

i love the secret knowledge that advanced degrees endow that go beyond the ability to read a book. if the experiences that a veteran ortho surgeon or pt have gained in practice mean something it seems it would be the feedback gleaned from the group hug

Group hugs are great... as long as they are billable.

I wasn't looking for a damn group hug thankyou! I was looking for people who have experienced this type of injury and who also climb, and since I have not had any real drawbacks from it in the past few months what would be the point of seeing a pt or a surgeon. Just trying to get some insight.

Re: Is my arm ever going to heal completely?
I don't really know whether it ruptured or was severed could have been either, but what happened was that i fell on to my arm and the blunt force of the fall was what damaged it. but what i think is that it couldnt have ruptured all. those cases in that article are from lifting heavy weight. but that is helpful clif, oh what is a c2c?
