Re: Guides at Military today
I think these types of situations should simply be handled by a friendly battle royal. The last two standing get the crag to themselves.
Re: Guides at Military today
the answer is simple... climb harder... sounds like mule, the legend, and nagypapa were all open. or, maybe it's time to start trad climbing again.
Re: Guides at Military today
well, something tells me, you can climb stronger than 5.11a, but what about the people who can't climb that. U gotta think of others. Thats how roadside and torrent got closed down, bcuz people weren't thinking about the owners. And dont be a douche and say oh well your just pissed because u cant climb 5.11, because thats not truebcombs wrote:Maybe we need to just agree on a grade limit for large groups. If it is, for example, under 5.11a it is open for groups. If you are on a rock climbing forum, calling yourself a rock climber, and complaining because someone hogged the 5.10a, you should be ashamed of yourself.

WHAT? If people start believing that, this forum is going to get awfully quietEric Cox wrote:We can all get on here and complain but I have a feeling that isn't going to fix anything
This thread makes me glad I took up paddling

That's a weird jump you took there, iamrob. You went from, "think about other climbers" to "think about the owners". Perhaps the hordes of gumby tards gooing up Roadside is precisely why it is having such issues?Andrew wrote:Sounds like motivation to get strongeriamrob wrote:well, something tells me, you can climb stronger than 5.11a, but what about the people who can't climb that. [P.S. I'm just bitter because I'm injured and now out of shape. I'll be ready by fall, but between now and then is 4 months of hell]

Most of it is also Sport. So the whole issue about closing off most the country to the rest of the world, genocide, and the military makes me think that there hasn't been a lot of climbing development. Even in "free" countries like Vietnam, which is covered in limestone, has relatively little developed climbing.
