The Christmas crack at Bob Marley is fun, we might have done it together a few years back?

The Shining for sure, short but fun. If you go do Vision also walk back to the end of the crag and do Casual Viewing.

Yep we def did the Xmas crack together as well as casual viewing. Both are awesome for sure. I will check out the shining.

check out Bitchmobile, great handcrack. It deserves more attention. Toad threw out some good routes, got on indecision as well the other day, great route!

All good routes! As for looking at 8 and 8- you may as well just look at 7-9, as they all climb harder or easier dependent on your strengths and weaknesses. FYI Arachnid was my first 8, great route. And Good Times will not only wear you out, if you have any head issues at all you'll probably pee your pants and cry like a baby. Dicey At Best was as secure as anything I've done and a joyful lay back romp!

you know winter is upon us when we start talking abut all the non climbing issues at hand: trad routes, politics, and religion.....

OK piggie, go do the third ascent of Tower of Power and tell me Trad is a non climbing issue.

Knitting a stocking for Christmas would be time better spent than traipsing around the backwoods with overgrown trails in search of 50 foot of dirty mank and 30 pounds of aluminum in your ruck. Come to think of it, even mtn biking is closer to a sport than placing gear. And that is a big stretch.

I hear what you are saying, but I am working on a route pyramid from the book "How to Climb 5.12". I feel like I am pretty solid at the 5.7 grade but shakey at the 5.8 grade. That is why I am looking for 5.8 and 5.8-. Within the next few weeks I hope to jump into the 5.8+ range and my goal is to send a 5.9 by spring.

Just out of curiosity how come no one has mentioned Bombs Bursting? I got on it Sunday and it kicked my ass, the lack of foot holds on the face was what got me (I really need to work on my crack thechnique). Are there just way more awesome 5.8s out there or has everyone forgotten about this one?
