Hi,
I've never climbed in the Gorge and am needing some help and advice. I'm training to climb Mt Whitney and it has some technical components. I live in EKY and thought that training in the Gorge might be useful. A few years ago I summited the Grand Teton, so I'm not totally a novice, but really need to refresh my skills. I'd love to hook up with some climbers who might be able to give me some tips and show me the ropes (pun intended).
Any suggestions from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
Best

If you give a man a match, he'll be warm for a minute. If you set him on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

I have no idea what that response means, I suspect it's quite snarky. I seemed to have missed the humor.
My post was hopeful and sincere. I truly hope however you aren't an example of other climbers at RRG.

I believe that clevis represents the summed up entirety of all climbers at the red.

Mad props on using the word "snarky".
Re: New to climbing..need help
it is a bit weird that clevis is being helpful and pleasant these days.

It thought so too. Helpful, and has acutally had useful and responsible input. hmm... something is amiss.
