Never thought of it until this Saturday but, taking the PDs down sure has made life difficult for the people rebolting the lode aka dustin, mike wheatley, myself, Dave Linz, Sean, Matt, etc.
My dad was out there saturday to do work, and when he came back he told me, "I don't really care about the PD debate, but it sure made it hard to rebolt those routes".
Just wanted yall to know.

just curious why that is Andrew? what do the PDs offer that your own set of proj draws don't? convenience? if it is merely a set of steel draws you guys need, I do have a set of ten you guys can borrow for the Lode work.
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.

Of all people... Kipp you must be going retarded if you don't understand why having the PDs there are a huge help. You are absolutely right that it is an issue of convenience, but maybe I am wrong in thinking that if we are busting ass replacing bolts instead of climbing, that it might be nice to have the draws in place so that we can rebolt super steep routes without adding another hurdle to the endeavor. Also, without having to double our work, it would be nice if we could leave our newly placed draws there for the time it takes to do the whole route.

Short answer is no-The management
If you give a man a match, he'll be warm for a minute. If you set him on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

so next time down, just go by miggie's and grab a set of them form behind the counter and put them up on whatever route you are working on.

This is still increasing the work load of the selfless people trying to make the red a better, safer, and more sustainable place. We new it was a thankless job, and that people would still complain, but we didn't expect people would do things to make it much more difficult and time consuming.so next time down, just go by miggie's and grab a set of them form behind the counter and put them up on whatever route you are working on.
I tell you what. Whoever took down the PDs from their respective route is now responsible for rebolting that route. They also need to have it done by the end of the month. -The Management

Definitely, the Crew can put their effort into accomplishing something real. Don't put this in vague terms Andrew. Name the routes and call out the Crew.Andrew wrote:I tell you what. With that I agree.....if the Crew will rebolt any of the routes at the Lode, then they get to decide what to do with those PD's. Sorry for the extra work Andrew....

Don't say sorry to me, say sorry to my dad. He has put in more work than anyone and is about the nicest guy around. He drove down for friday and saturday from cincinnati, by himself, just to bolt and rebolt routes. He didn't even climb.
