Re: PDs at Lode
i just posted a picture of a dog from a peta website, but it was taken down. i'm not sure why...maybe it was a mistake? anyway, i'll describe the picture for everyone...
imagine a photo taken in a living room at night, with a flash. the walls are beige, the carpet is khaki. a medium-sized pit bull is lying on the carpet. he looks healthy and happy, aside from having a camera in his face. he is white in color. in the position that he is lying, one is able to see his penis. in fact, it is his penis that is the focus of the picture because it's so red and long, in an otherwise neutral-colored background.

So Hugh and "The Snyd" (funny) say so? Wow.
Why not just leave one steel biner at the 4th or 5th bolt along with the anchor draws to make cleaning easy/safe.

Oh man, he is messing that up. However, he is missing his left leg so that way would probably be harder for him. SCIN, just before spraying some beta for a climber doing a route the WRONG way.

How about leaving a quick link midway al a Twinkie? No one will use it for climbing and you can still put a draw on the bolt. Then everyone will put on their aluminum project draws. Then we let the "Krew Kleaning Kompany" have at all gear on a bi-annual basis to clean out the mank.
Putting the kidding aside...
Make a Ben and Laura "Clean the Mank" event that occurs once at end of spring, and once at end of fall.. Do it at Thanksgiving and again July 4th. Easy dates for everyone to remember. Anyone climbing that week end on aluminum project draws strips them when they are done, labels them and turns them into either RRGCC or Miguels.
Keep the "list" of routes that get the PD's and limit to that list. Make the ethics rule No Abandoned aluminum Project Draws.
Edit: Maybe Memorial week end would be better to increase the community involvement?

Funny I was at the lode today and not a single route on the undertow had any project draws on it. The draws that were up were cleaned at the end of the day just like any other crag.
Re: PDs at Lode

Where do I get my refund for donating to Permas?
Re: PDs at Lode
Maybe the CREW got tired of out of towners onsiting or flashing their projects on prehung draws, and figured they wanted to try to make it harder by forcing them to hang their own draws.
Re: PDs at Lode
your draws (permas, whatever) were not stolen. if you paid for two of them, or whatever grand amount you spent, please pick them up at miguel's....vertical1 wrote:Where do I get my refund for donating to Permas?
