Is it a send?

Post by climb2core »

My buddy did a route over the week end and said the he didn't send. In talking some more he elaborated that he only got one draw clipped at the chains and then took. If it matters the draws were already hung.

It is a send or not?

I'm sorry, but if the draws were already hung, and he didn't clean on the downclimb, then its really just a panzypoint

You sound like you have experience with this panzy (sp?) point?

Lately, I would love to say I have sent with a panzypoint. All I have lately to show for my effort is the one fall no send...

get to the top and clip the anchors. that's a send. Yes Toy I'm calling you out, all of those climbs you got to the top of slapped the anchors and bailed on are totally invalid!

reminds me of the time that a buddy who had fallen off the top out of a boulder tried one last time, rolled over the top really aggressively. His body was full on top of the boulder for a fraction of a second before he teetered off. He was heard to yell on his way down. 'IIIIII diiiiiiid iiiiiit!!!!' We all laughed and made him try some more. Bottom line is.. if you don't finish the line, it is not a send.
