hey patty,
i am from germany and try to reach red river on the 10th or 11th of oct. i havent got all gear we would need, but a harness, chalk(bag), shoes, carabiner (no express-carabiners). It would be great to have a climbing partner. i will stay there..camping at campgrounds or backcountry camping for 2 weeks. do you can effort any time fro a climb?

Greetings
Christian

Hey dustonian. thanks, i keep it as an compliment ;)
and hey patty - sounds good. and what do you think about going bouldering - in case nobody can support us with gear? would that be an option? i mean - i have no matress, but i think there should be some shop, that rent one. and for wich time and how long would you stay at the gorge. i have got no idea..i have never been there. And for all i am looking for a possibillity to come from lousiville to the gorge. in between louisville and lexington there should be a greyhound, but from there..i have got no idea..not now
cheers

There's not much bouldering here at all, I'd find a new destination if you're looking to boulder. On the other hand, The Red hosts some of the best sport climbing in the world.

We are well aware of this... however neither of us have rope, gear, etc... Which is why we are talking bouldering somewhere other than the gorge like in Southern, IN or something as we stated previously in the conversation
