Should users be allowed to vote someone off the island?

Having problems with the board or the online guidebook?
Suggestions welcome.

Do you think users should be able to vote for banning another user if the whole world seems to be complaining about them?

So Gretchen, it's okay to verbally attack someone if you're provoked? Who decides what is provoked:?:

What if i said i think you're full of crap, that I wish you'd stop being a spokesperson for the RRGCC or at least add a freakin disclaimer to your messages that says "the opinion expressed herein is not necessarily the opinion of all the rest of the RRGCC." cuz sometimes sister, you spray some wickedly wrong stuff that i disagree with completely and you need to qualify your remarks with something!

Is that provokin'?

Yipes, now i'm getting to that "damn skippy" point that Horatio mentioned!

Well at least I am contributing to the RRGCC. How much effort have YOU put into Rocktoberfest? I don't think you really want to touch that button, pal.
Just genuinely disengenuous.

I never insulted your intelligence gretchen. I said swearing is "often" a sign of stupidity. I didn't intend to say that was your case. I've enjoyed our conversations, as limited as they have been, and i appreciate directness, but here you've gotten riled up a bit over something I didn't even do, just because i may not have correctly communicated here on the stupid internet.

Do you use gross profanity outloud in a public place where you KNOW that everyone can hear you? If not, then you in fact DO care what others think and I feel that level of respect is owed to the bbs community as well.

Ray... still, is it democratic when you choose the voters?

my level of involvment in an rrgcc function has nothing to do with the statement i made. bad argument, pal!! :P

I wish i had been able to be more involved. I am sorry. I applaud your involvement and am excited about it. Good job.

I don't care and don't give a flying fuck if it's democratic or not.

I'm letting people on slowly because this shit is sitting on a Pentium 233 Mhz with a 50 Mhz MySQL server for a backend dead smack in my living room running off a dynamic DNS'd DSL connection.

then why not wait on the polling until it's out in the open? or why not just leave it up to the moderators?

ewww, i'm the instigator now... maybe we should ban me! ;-)

Nah, I want to have these things worked out before fully released.
I can always change them later if I feel like it or people vote otherwise or if I get really hammered one night and decide something is gay.
