i wish i had been climbing for longer in the gorge to meet all of the people that have been mentioned in this thread. however, i've only been living in lexington for the past 2 years and climbing in the rrg since about 2006... so my list includes people that i have met that have really brought the rrg to life for me...

rick and liz weber
ray and michelle ellington
dave scott
kipp trummel

kudos to you all... you are all heroes to me! :)

History bears this out. Who has made the biggest impacts?
Early trad guys- Hackworth, Souders
John for his guide books that have inspired all the guidebooks since.
Porter put us on the map
Shannon started the RRGCC
Dr Bob made it work
The RRGCC it self - herded the cats to a common purpose and end
Rick and Liz- Wow.. nuff said
Miguel created the space for the community and culture to develop
Ray for his guidebooks and for the bbs as a sounding board for the commutiy
