I thought Bishop was way better then J-Tree, boudering-wise. You should also think about Heuco and the SE as well.

Hueco in December - yeah baby, yeah! Wes, are you going? You can try to convert me while I'm there if you give good spot.

Sandy, don't think so, but you never know. I have the HP-40 comp the 10th, and I am trying to work a bunch so I can save up for NZ...

that's okay, Wes, you were just going to be one of many sets of hands on my ass out there. I'm going to have SO much fun falling off those problems. :P

Yas,

When in Dec? I will be doing my first multi-pitch in Red Rock on my vacation NEXT MONTH, WOOHOO!!! :D But, I am also trying to work out another 2-week vacation scheduled around Dec 19th through Jan 4th (one of the perks of having a salaried job with paid holidays) and I've been trying to decide where to go/what to do. I've been thinking of driving my Van back out to CA with my motorcycle/mountain bike etc in the back, in which case, I'll be driving right past Vegas and climbing is always on my list of activities when I travel.

the general consensus is that the bouldering in Bishop is better than j-tree. however some people like the style in j-tree better. in bishop you have three pretty different types of rock to climb on so there is definately more variety, the problems are also denser and the scene is good. i spent a month in bishop last winter and will probably be spending all of march and half of april there this year as well.

which multi-pitch are you doing in red rocks rain man?

As always, my climbing schedule is posted at:

If anyone is going to be in a general area that i am in or wants to join me on the road for awhile email or pm me.
