Just more people (girls) for the Kinetic owner to harass. It would be extremely dumb for anyone to help out on this cause, they will loose out in the long run. That is a fact!

Allah, for someone who actually is from Columbus and is one of the first good climbers to come out of that region, it would seem like you would conduct yourself in a more mature manner then what you have demonstrated here? It may just be me but I expected more from you then something like this.

Think before you speak Allah, Tony is only helping the investor on this project get started. The investor for the next iteration of Kinetic is bringing new jobs, a state-of-the art climbing facility along with some great new offerings that are hopefully going to change the direction of climbing in Columbus.

Tony is moving to Cincinnati. He has decided to leave OSU to care for his elderly grandparents and to live closer to his son.

Sincerely,
Columbus Climber & Tax Payer

Is this a public venture or do you always sign messages with a reminder that you pay your taxes?

I don't know anything about Kinectic or anyone involved in previous attempts to fly, but I can tell you that posting to rrc asking for help / guidance is not likely to yield any serious responses. As an investor I would also be worried about this tactic. There are plenty of ways to reach out the proper stakeholders in the climbing community without a random message here.

Are you sure he is leaving for such altruistic motives and it has nothing to do with dating his students... Again???

Some free advice, if there is a new investor/owner for Kinetic...

1.) Change the name of the gym to anything BUT Kinetic
2.) Make sure to make many public announcements that this gym has nothing to do with the previous owner.
3.) Seriously consider finding some one else to assist you with the project.
4.) The gym would have to have 50 feet + walls to draw climbers away from VA. It is a good gym with good people that has loyalty in its clientele.

wellHUNGdraws=Troll, Good one Tony. "New Owners" of Kinetic should take climb2core's advice.

And on the third day, God created the Red River Gorge(by conjecture), and he saw that it was good.

I met a guy named Brian at Miguel's the other day, Yesterday morning, I took a fall, and continued to fall 45 feet to the ground. My back, shoulders, and palms are in some pain. Today's lesson: know and trust your belayer. It was an unexpected fall, and he apparently got scared and help the gri-gri tight, letting the rope fly through it unchecked. Not fun.

ditto that. Is there an actual conversation about a new gym in Columbus? I've climbed in gyms in San Francisco, Sunnyvale (CA), Nashville, Detroit, and Chicago and VA is one of the lower tier gyms. They have made improvements in the last 8 months or so which is nice to see. As far as VA having a loyal following; dogs are loyal too, that doesn't mean we should follow their lead.
