The road to Sore Heel...

In case anyone sees this. I got my sedan with low clearance through with only a few scrapes of the bottom of the car.

how does the county feel about climbers destroying their roads, have we ever offered help

As Phil said, this case was because of the rain. For awhile, Charmagne put time and money into helping with the roads and the RRGCC did help financially. So far, the county has developed a positive attitude toward climbers and I hope we continue that rapport. When I met up with Philz last fall when they were installing the helipad, I got to meet some people who worked for the County and I was told that "anytime" the road is bad, call.

Um... who is driving down there now that there's a helipad? Or is there not enough hangar space for everyone's heli?

Close the road. taxes paid by locals to fix road they dont use isnt fair to them, Koops doesnt have much to buy xcept gas. but parking... a massive volunteer "trail day/build a parking lot day at the top of the hill???" Not sure thats what the landowner would want.... but we need less traffic down there. and it takes exactly as long to walk from the bridge to the sore heel lot as it does do drive, we stared to walk as a truck passed us, got there just before it did. And to walk from the top to drive-by is like walking to the farther walls at Muir. Parking lot day

Would you please update me on the road condition from the top of the Lode Hill to Drive By parking lot
and to the Sore Heel lot?
Is there parking at the top of the hill?
If there is parking at the top of the hill is the preferred way
to park there and hike in.
