Re: Breakins 2011
I had to replace my defective cat about a year ago. Going rate for it as scrap was $50. I would imagine the value of the metals has gone up if it's changed. Pretty sure they contain Bromium in addition to Platinum. As far as replacing, do tell where you can get a new one for a couple hundred bucks. Prices I found ranged from between $500 to $1200. And buying a used is out as it is illegal to sell them used and no salvage yard will want to speak to you anymore once you ask.

It'll set you back $500; that is what mine cost me when the ink hit the bottom line.Clevis Hitch wrote:Last I heard a cat was worth about thirty five bucks as scrap and a couple hundred to replace.

Cats themselves only cost around $50-100, it's the labor that sucks you dry. It really isn't that hard to put in yourself, not much more difficult than installing a muffler would be. Plus, it's not crucial to the car running, and if you don't live in a state with emmissions testing, a cheater pipe is even cheaper, though your gas mileage will drop if you do that.

Walk In Pain Clinics in Eastern Kentucky charge $200 up front to see the doc. Usually get 2 to 3 different scripts ranging from 120 Oxy, 90 Ltab, and 90 Perks. 300 total pills ranging from $5 to $10 a pop on the street, after personal use leaves about 200 pills at an average of $7.50 ea. $1500, which leaves a net profit of $1300!!$35 x 5 cars = $175 = 3 months of Oxycontin yeeehaa!!
So ya, you could have enough off of 4 cars to pay for pills and a pretty nice house payment.
Oh man, he is messing that up. However, he is missing his left leg so that way would probably be harder for him. SCIN, just before spraying some beta for a climber doing a route the WRONG way.
Re: Breakins 2011
Oh ya, another fun fact would be take 300 pills times 30 patients per day(conservative), 9000 pills per day leaving 6000 pills, PER DAY for the street.

Cats themselves only cost around $50-100? Hook me up with your dealer. How are they moving them new for the price of salvage value? When I quoted $500-$1200 that was just for parts. The labor was all me.
Re: Breakins 2011
You can buy a cat for your specific vehicle or you can get a 'universal.' The universal is cheaper, but you might have to do some cutting.Syphur wrote:Cats themselves only cost around $50-100? Some of those are below $150.
