WANTED: Static Rope

I was and probably should buy a new one but i don't get on the rocks as much as the past and i spend quite a bit of that time with boy scouts working on climbing merit badges. Naturally my range depends on the rope and the (condition, length, etc.) but if i was looking to spend new price...i would buy a new one.

sure...I have some useable dynamic ropes that would be fine for top ropes if you are interested. no charge.

Yes i would be interested. I have 2 dynamic ropes now and I try to run a couple lines to keep their interests. I was looking for a static rope to introduce them to the rappelling side of the sport. I have used a dynamic to rappel but usually static but are these in good enough shape to rappel from?

I would not use them to rappel..too much stretch and chances of being cut.

This scares me...... a used rope purchased to guide with? sounds like a very bad idea.

dustin..absolutely....you tell me just how sketchy you want..if you are really intrigued, go to the top of midnight surf and take the old piece hanging up there that was rat chewed and hanging by maybe half the threads inside. if you just need core shot, we got those too....lol....I assume zero responsibility for what happens to them once they leave my hands.
