The second one was taken from Eckhart Tolle's teachings. My gf is a big fan of his work. Dhuff is basically saying that if people would let go of their egos and stay with their conscious self that there would be no need for argument as you no longer would have an ego to drive conflict. This would result in ending wars, fear and unfounded belief systems ( ie religion).

sure, they usually start as some phylosophy but then clearly delve into hollucinogen induced rambling.

curious though, has any of this discussion led any participants to think differently?

lol...no doubt dustin.

another question for the non believers on here.....what are your opinions on all the other psycho babble things in the world...psychics, good vibes, dreams, yoga, etc....don't these all have that "spiritual" stuff as part of their allure....yoga, for example, if you practice it without all the connectivity, energy flow, centeredness mantra they preach, aren't you being fake? it is just stretching without that side of the equation. love to hear the atheists spin this one to their benefit.

I like Iyengar yoga for it's focus on physical alignment and posture. It also helps somewhat with mental focus & concentration. The "spiritual" stuff is as arbitrary as any faith-based belief system...but hey if these constructs work for people, then they work for people...simple as that.
