I know a guy who went to Yosemite for a week and left his rope, harness, and gear at home. Intentionally.

We have done a bit of sport climbing around here as well, Clark Canyon was the best so far - kinda like frictiony limestone. I think we are going to hit the valley for a couple days in a week or so, but we have a free campsite that is nicer then many I have paid $12.00 a night for right now and the weather is great, maybe even a bit hot - highs in the 60's and sunny all day.

Lots of great bouldering, with many, many v3 and under, and a bunch of Vb-v0. Nice to do 10-15 problems in a day, and still have many left at that area. Buttermilks are very cool, but pretty stiff ratings. Or, maybe I just need more footwork pratice.

And, yes, we are using Chuffer, and even better - Chuffafornia quite a bit, so there may not be any hope....

"Chuffer" is so old.

Only a Punter would use such a word.

The basketball I play in on Tuesdays is called the "husslin Choughs" (prounounced CHUFFS) My understanding is that a Chough is a type of bird that is dissapearing from it's native cliffs of Cornwall England. so...uhh.....there. Since the chough is a bird that lives along cliffs....is there some connection between a chuff and a chough in the world of climbing? [/url]
