Remember Louie Anderson and the line he claimed to have climbed- Refiner's Fire, a 14+ that would have been years ahead of its time? I wonder if anyone has gone back to it now that the standards have gone up?

Yes, a classic tale...Randy Leavitt even offered him $10,000 if he could repeat it with witnesses present. Apparently he never did... If you refuse to answer questions like "who was your belayer on that route ?" you're either admitting that you were living a lie, or you're the most self-destructive idiot imaginable.
