You would be a fool to think that the U.S. doesn't do the things that were released and stated in these documents. Our government is designed and set up this way for just these purposes. It keeps us safe. It collects and listens and tapes and stores all the info it can get on other nations. Allowing us to wallor in our ipads, porno, debt, and everything else our people sedate themselves on (rockclimbing) and ignorantly believe that other nations and people groups don't want to kill every last one of us fattened cows.
I am personally glad that our government keeps tabs. It means I can actually plan out having some sort of future life and not worry if I am going to have to kill another human being because they plan on beheading me and raping my wife.

My education taught me to be a critical thinker and that last statement I made was a logical fallacy. It was a slippery slope argument.
I still sleep at night because my government keeps me safe, even if my lawmakers do suck.

"I can use my credit card to send money to the Ku Klux Klan, to antiabortion fanatics, or to anti-homosexual bigots, but I can't use it to send money to WikiLeaks," said Jeff Jarvis, a new-media critic and director of the interactive journalism program at the City University of New York's Graduate School of Journalism. "The New York Times published the same documents. Should we tell Visa and MasterCard to stop payments to the Times?"
