Wow, I met Blake for the first time just a couple of weeks ago. I had no idea that he knew an iconic belayer. I can only hope that some day I am lucky enough to witness the belay skills. I am can't wait to get my BM today.

Too bad Off Belay magazine is out of print. I'm sure they would have done a feature story on this, or had a 'belay photo issue' about this time of year. I'm all for the 'Women Belayers of Climbing' calendar going to print soon.

BM (BelayMagazine) will have an online feature for you to record all you belays sends...yes, onsight belays are more points...much more of the skill is required since you don't know the exact clipping slack...top rope belays will not count...sorry. that is one of the best youtube.com clips i have seen... i have trashed my grigri (burnout) and every other belay device i own, for the body. I hope the rest of the Red will do the same. Save the Earth, quit buying belay devices!!!!!!!!!!!! Witb your extra $$$$$$$$$ donate to Climber That Care... I will see you at EKU!!!!!
