lmao. At some point in my life I will run into this couple, and I will remember to congratulate him on his onsite... After which, I will have to ask, just which hold did he use to clip the chains? Maybe we can have another name for Hoofmaker, aka Eddiefication (ed·i·fi·ca·tion ( d -f -k sh n). n. Intellectual, moral, or spiritual improvement; enlightenment.)stix wrote:enjoy the new eddie and rachel!

How about the alzheimer's onsight?

Re: New rule
You fell into my spray trap. You are correct. I can't onsight anymore of the Undertow wall routes. Not because SCIN gave me the beta "go left at the chains", but because I sent them all(It took years off my fucking life).gripster wrote:So if SCIN gave you this beta, then you can't onsite anything on the undertow wall now, correct?
Re: New rule
As a counter measure, I propose the formal recognition of a new ascent style:
Hong-point
This is where you walk you up to a route, examine it and know for certain that you would onsight it. Instead of climbing the route you tick it off in your head and walk away. Named after the legendary Steve Hong who, as the story goes, commonly practiced this in Indian creek. In his case, everyone else also knew he would onsight it, so they gave it to him.

I need to update my scorecard then, how many points do I get for said Hong-point?
