As far as the actual race logistics I think there is some flexibility. I talked to some of the teams from this year and there were odd ball cases where runners swapped legs within their team.

I know it is a year ahead, but the registration fee goes up quickly and the race this year was filled before December 2009. As there doesn't seem to be as much climbing interest in the chase pass it on to the runners you know.

Just wanted to point out that's the 2nd weekend in October, which is usually Rocktoberfest weekend.

i did the wild west relay this past august...200 miles from ft. collins to steamboat. unbelievably fun!!
