On Oct 16th there is going to be a Memorial/dedication for my dear friend Mike Tucker. As many of you know he passed away after a fall there this past April. Mike's family and friends will be coming to town for this. This is an open memorial so if you feel the need to be there you are more than welcome to come. I am asking though if you or if you know of someone planning to climb there on this date I please ask that you wait till after 2pm. I do not feel right shunning climbers away from the cliff for this reason but out of respect to all of us that loved Mike I do hope that people will be respectful of all the mourners. I will be getting Breakfast that Lodge that morning at 10:30 and will be leaving there at 12:30. I am hoping to start the dedication at 1pm and last till 2 or so. If anyone has any words they would like to say about, to Mike or just has a great story they would like to share about Mike please feel free.
There is a plaque we are dedicating to the cliff in Mikes name, JR is making the arrangement for the plaque. JR expressed to me that it is not cheap, I don't know how to go about it but we are asking for donations for the plaque. The cost of the plaque is between $700 and $800 dollars. All donations will be put toward the cost of the plaque and whatever extra donations we have will be given to the Coalition in Mike's name.

just wanted to re-remind everyone about this.... it will take place this saturday, and may go a bit later than 2 pm, depending on how many people end up wanting to speak. please be respectful--his family is coming down, as are many of mike's friends.
