lost camera at new wall in Muir

Post by heacocis »

We lost a camera during trail day in Muir while developing the new wall. We suspect it fell out of a pack at the base of the wall. The camera has pictures and video documenting our development of the wall as well as the trail building. Beside the camera's owner wanting it back so he doesn't have to buy a new one, we all would like it back because of the pictures of all the volunteers helping out. Please, if you find it, let me know or give it to Rick or Liz. Thanks.

the new wall is off of the main valley trail. when you pass the big boulder where the bolt testing was done, go straight instead of going down the switchback. the camera is a black point and shoot. thanks Patrick!!

Again about the 'new wall';
is it ready for use yet? What rating routes does it have? Name of wall so as to watch for it posted up in online guidebook in future? Hope to go look at it soon during festival visit weekend IF it's accessable yet. Let us non locals know more if you can.

! 2014! That must be some massive super double secret probation kind of project going on there. That challenge will certainly bring poachers.

the move between the second and third bolt on the far right route is freaking awesome!

it wasn't my first choice for the day, it just kind of happened. its a nice wall though. reasonably sized base and an easy, pretty hike. you walk thru one arch and then past a double arch flake. big plate-y holds and the rock is pretty solid
