Need Partner and/or ride from Louisville Oct 4th-13th!

So heres my shitty situation. Got everything lined up, bought tickets, and then not a day later my partner bailed on me. DOH. I've never been to the red before but hear so much amazing stuff. My buddy tells me miguels isnt exactly the best place to find random partners on a daily basis, but I figure I can make something work if I can get myself there assuming I cant line something up beforehand...

So I'm scrambling. Flying in from denver to Louisville the afternoon of the 4th (monday, I know, bought tickets around partner's schedule...). We were going to rent a car for the whole trip, but I'd really rather not fork over 23$ a day myself for a car. So I need a way to get from Louisville to Miguels. Is there a greyhound I could take to Lexington and then maybe a cab from there? If I walk into the local climbing shop in Louisville and stand around with a pitiful sign and a forlorn puppy, think my chances of finding a ride would be decent? Any locals happen to have the week off and want to go down on monday?

I climb 10s, mid 11s, maybe some choice 12a's if I'm having a low gravity day. Nice 70m rope, plenty of draws etc, camera (I'll make you famous! ). Also, how do people do food storage/camp cooking there? closest grocery store?

A few of us almost always make the drive on Mondays from Louisville. Once the date gets closer and our schedules become more clear I'd be happy to get in touch and figure out the details.

I most likely will be in the area around those dates. I can't guarentee I can climb everyday over two weeks, but I can definitely climb
many of those days. I submitted a post that has more information about myself and climbing. Since you are from Boulder, we most

I might fly in next Thursday for three weeks....my partner is somewhat awol at the moment....no doubt hiding in Camp 4! I am psyched to get to the Red right now. Before I pull the trigger on a ticket, I need to line some things up. Since I don't have a car and am not quite down to drop the $500 a week, how reliable is the Miguel scene? Also, what is the best way to get to Miguels from Lexington? Anyone interested in partnering up? I am mainly interested in the classic 12s sport, and maybe a few of the trad 11s and under although I will leave the rack home. Whoever told you that it''s hard to find a partner at Miguels is either A)an asshole B)a creepy motherfucker or C)Just plain antisocial. It's easy as shit to find a partner as long as you're flexible, easy going, and personable. I for one am none of these and I still manage to find a partner there all the time so go figure. They may be talking about Lago Lindas though, I hear everyone who stays there only cares about themselves and sending their ultra mega hard projs and going to bed at 6pm after the shuffleboard and bridge games!
