I overused it climbing in our new, 65 ft tall, overhanging (awesome) gym. However, I think the real problem was waterskiing, tubing, waverunnering, and mountainbiking during my "week off" of training. I believe I strained or hurt the ligament on top of my finger where it attaches to the last knuckle on my finger. There was no popping or anything. I just suddenly got a sharp pain going from the last knuckle, across the TOP of my finger towards the middle knuckle. The extensor tendon is fine and functional. I can move my finger in the full range of motion and it is not broken or fractured.

I have been splinting, icing, heating, and did untrasound and tens unit on Monday. It was feeling a little better until the hand doc bent it and pressed on the joint, setting me back about 3 weeks in the healing process.
