If you give a man a match, he'll be warm for a minute. If you set him on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

Say what? The God fearing man would have no problem letting you crater because he knows you are going to a better place. Right? Instead of a God fearing man, how about just a man, that can belay. Or better yet, how about just a gri-gri that happens to have a man attached to it. That is probably your safest bet.

A coworker (devout christian and devout marine) once told me that when he was at war he figured the guy on the other side (or himself) would laugh and joke and say "you got me" when they were talking about it in heaven. Seemed kind of messed up to me. This guy is a very intelligent and respectable person, but that is kinda why it is even more messed up to me. I'm pretty messed up though.
efil lanrete... i enjoy the sound, but in truth i find this seductively backward idea to be quite frightening

You see a cute girl at the grocery store. She looks a bit overweight, but you figure what the hell, why not spark up a conversation?
You: “hey, come here often?â€

the best part is to see the enlightened ones on here who profess opened minded-ness be so narrow in their stereotypes.....carry on...the hypocrisy is fun.

You should read the forum again Kipp and think about your assessment. It is mostly narrative of experiences. Where is the lack of open-mindedness?

Maybe he means my post since I didn't include women as potential belayers. So I'll clarify, if the man says the woman can leave the kitchen then she is also a suitable belay candidate.
