Can't we all just get along?
I absolutely agree. Nobody should ever talk badly about sponsored climbers because it could hurt their source of income. It IS however okay to dis the shit out of anybody else because they aren't sponsored. This is the most fair thing in the world. If you want people to only be able to say positive things about you, then climb better and get a sponsor. Otherwise you suck and people can and will treat you like the shit bag you are because you are not as good as the sponsored and untouchable climbers.
I propose a code word that can be used strictly within the climbing community for sponsored climbers who you may wish to dis in a dissing emergency - let's take the first letter of their name and put it last and add an "a." Such as risca harmasa or atiek rownba or ommyta aldwellca or ethba oddenra. If we trust the posters on a site, then we will divulge the key to this powerful encryption code.

It would be interestng to know how jackass climbing forums are compared
to the rest. The two other types of forums I have visited are coding and auto maintenance related. With both, I found the largely helpful and on topic. But Im typically just finding a solution to a specific problem, not trolling for it's own sake.

This article is naive. Seems like most people know who's who on this forum, it doesn't stop anyone from trash talking when they feel like it (not saying this is a bad thing, I tend to be a free-speech kind of guy). In fact, I remember one crazy dude who would call someone out, then not only post his real name, but also his address and invite people over for an a$$-kicking!

I have noticed some of these chuffers have been so protected and coddled by their loving parents that they expect the world to treat them like their "helicopter parents" did. Hovering over them to drag their little entitled asses out of the firefight when it becomes threatening to their smug little selfs.
Don't get me wrong all you youngsters arent like this but a lot of you are. Mommy cannot make it alright for you in the grownup world.
