Lizard Pinnacle, Teeth Butress, Indian Castle, and Curiosity all have stellar summit views. The best by far is Foxfire.

i knew i would get busted by the TradDaddys as i typed "best view"... just figured i'd let it roll.

you see at the top of all my routes there usually isn't anything to look at but chains.
And on the third day, God created the Red River Gorge(by conjecture), and he saw that it was good.

no worries. Topping out is a mixed bag. The top of the cliff is usually rounded off and featureless so the need for chains. Tag em and you're done. No hanging your feet off the edge and soaking up the view and some rays. I had to talk several partners into chilling for a few. They get to the top and start looking to set up a rap without ever looking around. chain conditioning.
I suspect Courthouse has a nice topout to. Haystack is good. Rastafarian is a pretty cool route if you are ok with runout slab and you can find the start.

We have tr'ed the shear face of Courthouse - it's a nice route with a good view of Excaliber. Easy 12 hard 11.

ynot, if you want the "view" take up hiking. climbing is about, um, climbing...

and after a few "views", what's the big deal about a bunch of trees and rocks and birds anyway?

Not sure if it's the same link cam mentioned here but about a month ago my partner did liberate a link cam from American Crack. I'd say it was about 20 ft. from the ground. Took him about 20 minutes or so to wiggle it out.
