Having your shit jacked fucking sucks. I had about $300 worth of tools stolen from my van either sunday or monday in the SR. I didn't even realize it was missing until tuesday when i went to get something and it wasn't there. Im glad i left my doors unlocked so i don't have to repair a smashed window. It's gotten ridiculous. Moral of story-don't leave valuable shit in your vehicle.
I had all my climbing gear taken out of my car here in louisville about a year ago. It sucks to have to be paranoid about it in the city, but it sucks worse to have to worry about it when you're trying to get out and enjoy nature.
'staking the place out'..I'm guessing you know if they were working for Our Side and not the perp's. Guess it wouldn't hurt to have a rotating cliimber on watchdog duty near the parking areas for awhile. Anyone working on that unpleasant meetup between our perps and the ravaging black bear yet?
