Gound Fall at Drive By Poll
I, like all climbers, always want to know the details of an accident in case there is something I can learn for future safety. That being said, it kind of bugs me when people want to peg someone into the (dumb, inexperienced, gym climber in over their heads) so that he doesn't feel vulnerable to danger. It is really harsh to the people who have been involved in an accident. Even when Mike's accident happened, people who knew nothing about it yet started saying--"there's all of these young inexperienced gym rats who get strong and then go outside and hurt themselves." Which, obviously had nothing to do with that situation. Just think a little before you go off and spew a bunch of opinions.
Hauling a big ego up a route adds at least a full grade.
