Please Drive with Caution on Bald Rock Rd (Rd to PMRP, Lode)
other peoples' eyes? like, there's more than one person with your viewpoint? who? i can see that you like to play devil's advocate, and that's fine.. but pick your battles... topics like this save lives and help the community.Clevis Hitch wrote:You should consider what I've said and try to look at it through other peoples eyes.
the topic is neither a) inappropriate or b) unnecessary. im glad it's being addressed--every time i drive by those houses i feel bad for the folks who used to enjoy a nice quiet home. you should, too...unless you feel entitled.....Clevis Hitch wrote:Like you're some sort of play ground moderator. Sillyness.
i don't think that navigation has ever been a concern.Clevis Hitch wrote:People navigated their way to the Red from diverse places around the globe.
and i, yours. hopefully a little more effectively, though.Clevis Hitch wrote:I just pointed out the ridiculousness of your post.

Yeah, like powen said, you need to re-read the link you posted Clevis.
"The speed limit for motor vehicles on state highways shall be as follows, unless conditions exist that require lower speed for compliance with subsection (2) of this section, or the secretary of the Transportation Cabinet establishes a different speed limit in accordance with subsection (4) of this section:
(a) Sixty-five (65) miles per hour on interstate highways and parkways;
(b) Fifty-five (55) miles per hour on all other state highways; and
(c) Thirty-five (35) miles per hour in a business or residential district."
Pretty sure Bald rock is not maintained by the Kentucky DOT, and is therefore not a state highway, according to the link you were so kind to post:
'"State highway" means a highway or street maintained by the Kentucky Department of Highways.'

"But the motto was, never think you're that cool - you're still just climbing rocks...in the woods...with bugs...and everyone thinks you're crazy."

I think the the problem here is either you guys just skip over the big words that you don't understand or you are ignoring its obvious meaning so I'm gonna point out one more time the obvious true meaning.

To me this is condescending. To someone else "Hey kids" might be endearing. Regardless, I doubt Meadows meant to start a discussion about speed limits. It was just an ill conceived post (just like most of mine). The good news is it sparked some funny posts. Keep it up!Meadows wrote:Hey kids - I know you're all anxious to get to the crag, but please observe that the road you're traveling is residential and kids may be out playing. Wrecks have even occurred in the past on the blind spot near the cemetary just past the white house.
Signs will be posted in the future, but for now, spread the word and slow down.
