I was actually talking to a friend last night who knows the musician, Spyder. As mentioned above, I guess he climbs at the NRG quite a bit, and is a totally nice guy.

And as cheesy as the song is, as a musician I have to appreciate his chops, the guy's a fast muthuhfuckin' guitarist. Anyone who can maintain that dexterity while climbing (I lost a lot of speed and sensitivity when I started jamming my fingers into overhung cracks) is doing pretty well.

Yes, excellent guitarist, a great friend and a really good climber too. I wonder how his name was changed to SCIN repellent though. Strange, very strange....

I don't get what the big deal is. He's 20 feet above his last pro, but 100 feet above his belayer...sounds like a clean fall.
