Seriously though I learned a long time ago, with my wife, that lead climbing isn't for everyone. I personally enjoy the hell out of it. I like the mental challenge and rope management that comes with it..and you're right if you want to ever do more than just go "cragging" you've go to be a competent lead climber. My wife enjoys climbing too and she has done plenty of 11's clean on T/R. I use to try to get her to lead all the time b/c I thought it was more fun..well it wasn't for her. After I got that through my thick male skull we had a much better time at the cliff

As for difficulty and difference... lead climbing is harder than T/Ring, so is red pointing harder than pink pointing (another discussion for another time
