No, but I bracketed my comment with the remark that it may not apply to this specific situation. But when you talk about an "approach to climbing" it seems that you are starting to talk about the general idea (e.g. of climbing outside an established line).
No chalkbag since 1995.

i'm just glad the idiot report has emerged from the ashes... at least that dude who decked did something right. Good on ya mate!
And on the third day, God created the Red River Gorge(by conjecture), and he saw that it was good.

go do decay's way with some hexes and stoppers and then decide if climbing is right for you
