LOST: Tent, overnight bag at PMRP Sore Heel

Post by jjguyer »

On Sunday, April 11 as we were leaving the Sore Heel parking lot, my tent, pillow, and a friend's overnight bag fell off of the car as we negotiated the hell hills. By the time we got out of there, realized stuff was gone, and went back, nothing but the pillow could be found. I think someone helped their selves to our stuff. The tent was a maroon/white Kelty Gunnison, and the bag was green and contained clothing, toiletries, etc. If anyone picked this up or knows who picked it up, I would pay a reward to get it back. There was a silver Japanese truck with Tennessee plates that left between the time we left and and the time we came back. If you know this person or are this person, please contact me.

If you are a person who takes lost stuff when there is a good chance the owners will soon come looking for it and had no intention of getting this property back to its owners, karma will get you. If you were truly being helpful, then you probably would have taken the pillow too.

Please let me know if you know anything about these items.

Thanks,

Josh Guyer

I'm not involved other than to observe the rash of "stolen" gear. If you can't keep track of your shit. Then you have too much shit!

I just wonder why was your stuff on the car and not in it?

Hope you get it back. I am sure it will turn up. Most people, at least from my personal experience and good peeps and will return your stuff if they found it.

Thank you for your input. I hope you never have the misfortune of misplacing something.

Absentmindedness. We were tired and high on climbing by that point and the gear didn't make it into the car. Or maybe it was just a dumbass attack.

Thanks,

I've left my wallet, keys, phone and sunglasses on the roof while driving away from drapers bluff in Illinois......Almost did the same thing the other day in Sore Heel parking lot. It happens.

Not involved either but there is a differance between stealing and finding some thing some one drove off without. You were not robbed, you lost your stuff.I hope you get it back though.
