I picked Murray St. and I am also winning my pool of thirty people. But I have a feeling I won't win.

Charlie you are so right, Murray State is a well known national basketball power as is the OVC. Quite evident you know wtf you are talking about, considering the last time a team from that conference won a game in tourney the was in '89.

Actually....not a powerhouse, but the only reason most people around the nation have even heard of Murray is because they tend make the tournament every few years, So they are fairly well known when it comes to the NCAA.

And Crank, I think WVU is your first real game all season, maybe UT, but this will be UK's first game against a really really talented team.

ummm, jordan. I think that was sarcasm from lateralus.

and do you really think WVU is the "First" real game? sure, WV is talented but UK ran the SEC regular season with a target on their back. UK won the SEC conference, taking everybody's super bowl effort. and UK has won 3 games in the tournament.

UK has 34 (or is it 35) games this year, will have 3 or 4 players go to the NBA, and restored the faith of millions of fans.

are you serious?

WV is missing their starting point guard and are coached by a fellow who has spent more time recruiting in prison than he has in high schools or aau circuit...

I think you are a bit off the mark, friend.

let me guess, you're pulling for ohio state.

Haha, I got the sarcasm, I understand he was making fun of charlie, so I was trying to say that lateralus was a little off the mark. For being in the OVC, murray actually has had a very solid program.

I'm pretty sure UK hasn't played a top 10 team at all this year. The SEC only had UT and Vandy and we saw how good Vandy really was. Even a few of the usally "big" name out of conference teams such as UConn and UofL, that UK beat ended up being pretty bad teams (I'm a huge louisville fan, btw...in the band, at every home game and tourney games....etc.....but we were a bad team that won a few good games).

Even though I detest WV and their fans, I still think they're a good team and capable of giving UK a real challenge.

And no, I was actually very happy to see UK beat THE Ohio State a few minutes ago. Good game.

I have been told by the likes of charlie and sprague that I'll never be kentucky enough or understand the infatuation with college hoops around here. I think they are right. I have lived in Kentucky 5 years, but I understand that birth is the only true way in....

so without allegiance to start with, one can't be a traitor, can they?
