Clevis. Thank you. That is a wonderful little story full of inspiration and hope.

But what really bothers me is the use of a hypothetical when time and time again people have asked you, as a representative of an opinion which may have merit, to cite your popular support.

But as a wedge issue and public relations/marketing/fundraising go, the gate
works. I strongly suspect that many of my partners, people whom I generally trust and even sometimes admire, never donate. This is a personal issue I guess, but I think the more obstacles, reminders, sermons, warnings, threats, and guilt one can impose on slackers, freeloaders, and the generally uninformed the better.

oops, wow, .... sorry.

Actually I have a Jeep but that's besides the point. Not everyone owns an SUV like us "adults". I don't think cars should be allowed to go down there because that's how the road got to where it is now. Odub and I were down there a few weeks ago and it was nothing but ruts from cars spinning out to get up the hill and even the flat part of the road was a wash out. But the trails are nice....

Personally, I think Clevis' use of a hypothetical was both effective and refreshing - much like his leading role as Hamlet at Cambridge.
