I have one, I use it as an mp3 player often while I am studying. Then about a month ago the speaker quit working all the time and its as if the phone is sending the sound to the headphones jack instead of the speaker. I can restart the phone and that usually takes care of for a while but the problem is getting really annoying. I do think it has to do with the constant changing between an mp3 player and a phone. Which pisses me off cus its supposed to do both. Just a head up.
How you compare may not be as important as to whom you are compared
I have a 3G. I love it, but as others have said, service isn't great in some places (such as the Red). I sometimes get enough signal for a text message to come through at Miguel's, but that's about it.
Also, I broke the screen on it a while back, but replaced it with a $15 part from ebay with some help from a youtube video.
Edit: I just paid my bill for it. That's the other big downside. It's about $90/month for a cheap plan. I'm not sure how that compares to the competition (droids, etc.), but it sure ain't cheap.

i have an iPhone.
will the new guidebook app work if there is no internet connectivity? what i mean is, is it a download of all the info onto my phone or just an easier to view version of the online guide? the latter of which being practically unuseable if at the Red without a signal.

And on the third day, God created the Red River Gorge(by conjecture), and he saw that it was good.
