"Nice new car! How much did you give for that bad boy?"
"I gave somewhere between $1,000 and $10,330. It just depends on who you ask."
"..."
See how numbers that fluctuate by a factor of ten don't seem to make much sense?
Especially when you add in all the "injuries and unreported deaths." Casualty is an all-encompassing term that means death AND injury. If you have 100 casualties, you can have 1 injured, 99 dead or 99 dead and 1 injured or no dead or all dead or some combination. You really should know what the facts are saying before attacking others. In a discussion, it helps to familiarize yourself with the vocabulary before you get butt-hurt and flip your lid.
Now...as for your "unreported" deaths. If they are unreported, how do you, uh, report them? You just pick a fantastic number that goes along with your argument?
The 2nd Amendment isn't just for the right wing neocons...

I'll agree, do you really want to get me started? At least we're not forced to eat their shit, or pay for it... also, it's a little less violent and indirect compared to war. How'd you know about the meds?pigsteak wrote:you'll have to forgive clifton..he's off his meds...
besides, last I heard obesity and smoking in America kill millions a year..maybe he could pick up the campaign to put junk food companies out of business for killing the innocent. just a thought brother, as it is closer to home, and right under yer nose. now get to work.

I apologize. I did read that incorrectly. I'm dealing with retards in my own way, right now. Was just skimming through as I have a required interactive video on driver's safety running. Deep, monotoned voice telling me not drive too fast, check the air in my tires and get plenty of rest. Sometimes I have to check boxes about that. Other times I have to drag and drop those statements agreeing with them. It's a Flash brainwashing attempt, I believe
Sure is a lot of fun while you're doing it...

Over something we shouldn't be involved in? Last I checked those bitches brought that shit here with 9/11...Clevis Hitch wrote:cliftongifford wrote: over something we shouldn't be involved in...
Again, arguing with retards.... Umm, exactly when did the Iraqi people or government have anything to do with 9/11? The hijackers were from Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan... right? There was no Al Qaeda in Iraq. There might be justification for the invasion of Afghanistan, but I still believe in a formal declaration of war by congress before commiting kids to die on our behalf. Does it really take trillions of dollars and millions of lives to take out a few terrorists? This mindset has caused more problems than it's fixed. Have terrorist acts decreased since our wonderful intervention? NO. Have more people died from violent deaths? YES.

i don't know. and for the sake of this argument, i don't care.Clevis Hitch wrote:acts of terrorism haven't decreased?
look at what the terrorists accomplished: they've helped us divide the country, they've incited us to waste trillions of dollars, get in retarded arguments on internet forums, create panic, buy guns because of said panic, buy duct tape (thanks, mr. bush), further fragment our communities.........
yes, i'd say the terrorists did a hell of a job. and it's still working. and we're all still playing the game.
earth. you?Clevis Hitch wrote:what fucking planet do you live on jackass?
The panic that increased the sale of guns and ammo was the election of Obama.
Even with paying for two wars, social programs spending that offers little to no return value exceeds the DoD budget.
The country is divided. That's what happens when you have issues that people care deeply about. Being in Afghanistan and Iraq is just one of those issues.
Did 9/11 have anything to do with Obamacare ripping the divide? States actually passing resolutions over it that threaten secession? I don't believe so.
Did the terrorists have anything to do with housing bubble and its collapse? No?
How about bailout after bailout for industry after industry? hmmmm....
Unemployment? Did terrorists take away our jobs? Send them overseas? Shut down factories?
I know. Those rag-head cave-dwellers took all the social security money and replaced them with bonds in a 3-ring binder. That's what they did. Wait a minute...maybe not.
Being in Iraq and Afghanistan is not the most divisive issue we are facing. It is just one of them. It can be traced back to a terrorist attack. I'd say it is the least of our worries at this moment. OEF does not help the matters one bit, but attacking it is like trying to wipe up the spilled water without worrying about the shards of glass on the floor...
