But it does work, on average.

I re-posted this link on a message board full of very cautious mothers (they veer into paranoidly cautious, if you ask me). Everyone there who bothered to take the test got a score of 84 or higher.

And most people here who bothered to take the test got mid/low 50s and below.

So there is something to climbers being risk-takers?

whaoh there...You said risk-takers...thats different than risk assessment. Way different.
If you give a man a match, he'll be warm for a minute. If you set him on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

It's not only about risk assessment. If you were really smart you would know all the answers definitely and get a perfect score without having to assess any risk.

I think its safe to say that if you've been anywhere and reached any of your goals then you are good at risk assessment. Test be damned! :mrgreen:
