Got out to the Lode today and did 28 pitches. The hill was bone dry. I guess the salt trucks ran. And the trails were shoveled clean. Well, the trail heading up right was but the left trail was still snow covered.

How you compare may not be as important as to whom you are compared

Bring plenty of pocket warmers and pick something steep, as well as south-facing. Also, do not pick anything that has a history of seeping. I doubt there will be any sun but temps are expected to be (kinda) above freezing.

Can't give recommendations without knowing what you climb...

Thanks for the info.....

Im in chicago and had to decided between ICE and ROCK?!?!? Each is 7 hours and Chattanooga is a little far 9-10+ hours for a 3 Day Weekend road trip. And the forecast does look a little shetchy with some rain.

So ICE it is and i will be heading up to Munsing, MI in the UP...

later
