i love the coalbank, does anyone actually know who really fucked this up
Oh man, he is messing that up. However, he is missing his left leg so that way would probably be harder for him. SCIN, just before spraying some beta for a climber doing a route the WRONG way.

Well, speaking personally, I was being facetious about the ass-kicking comments. I just think the term ass-kicking sounds funny. I mean that would be a funny form of corporal punishment, wouldn't it. You know, just tie someone up and repeatedly kick them in the ass. I would laugh my head off.
I've had just about enough of this shit.

Here's an official RRGCC update guys. With the Coalition's permission, I'm posting it here.

PROGRESS REPORT
RRGCC’s Murray Property Project
September 10, 2003

The RRGCC’s efforts to purchase the two parcels of land, Bald Rock Fork and Coal Bank Hollow, called the Murray property, are progressing on schedule. The RRGCC and the Murray family continue to make progress on negotiating the terms of the eventual land contract. John Bronaugh, former president of the board of the RRGCC, and now pro bono legal counsel for the RRGCC, is representing the RRGCC in our negotiations with the Murray family.

Charmane Oil Company is the owner, or lessee, of many of the oil and gas rights that are not being bought by the RRGCC with the Murray property. Charmane Oil will retain control of the oil and gas rights and the RRGCC will become the surface right owners. Bronaugh is diligently trying to make contact with Charmane Oil’s local legal representative, on behalf of the RRGCC, to establish a formal relationship, discuss the recently placed “No Trespassing” signs, discuss plans for cooperation between the RRGCC and Charmane Oil, and our respective mutual concerns. Charmane’s legal representative has not yet responded.

While we contact Charmane Oil to obtain further information and to avoid creating unnecessary conflicts, the RRGCC is recommending climbers honor the “No Trespassing” signs for the time being, and please climb in other areas. The RRGCC will make additional information available as soon as the RRGCC has more to report.

Fundraising efforts are gaining momentum as more and more people hear about the project. Direct donations to the web site still lag behind, but direct personal donations from individuals, supportive of the RRGCC, are making up the difference. The Charity Route Auction is producing great results. The Rocktober Fest Planning Team is putting together a solid festival that should have robust attendance, strong sponsorship support, and keep fundraising on track. Our new web site dedicated to the Murray Project www.thered.org and recent media coverage has done much to help bring this ambitious project to people’s attention, both within and outside the climbing world and is keeping the hardworking (and growing) RRGCC volunteer staff and board, busy.

The word from the RRGCC is to honor the signs at this time. Go climb elsewhere till this mess is straightned out.

Please spread this info by word of mouth, by the way. This web site is an amazing help at getting the word out but there are still a lot of climbers who don't access it. Thanks guys!

I'm going to post this up in another forum so that people who are not logged in can get this information. Please keep talk of ass kicking in this thread, or I'll kick all y'all's asses.
