I would agree that the best and the worst people you could meet are christians. The best because they will teach you what is right, however, once they failed to do so, it makes them worst :-)

I never said that Pat Roberson's stupidity proves anything. I said I was impressed by PR's stupidity.
[] I think Wes has it right. Christians should be outraged about PR's ridiculous opinion that the devil hit Haiti with an earthquake. I think he and others said something similar about Katrina in NOLA.

He's not saying the devil caused the earthquake, he's saying that God did it because of their pact with the devil. Either way, that type of thinking is all the rage...in 17th century Salem, Mass.

We wouldn't be having this conversation if the title of the thread was, Buddists' or Hindis' or God forbid Muslims'. So of the most hateful things that have ever been said or perpetrated have originated with Islam. No one speaks out against that! I read a once that there were 19 armed conflicts in the world and 17 of the 19 were involving muslim aggression, No one speaks out against that!
Red Herring. The reason we're not talking about any of those other religions is because they're not the subject of this thread. That's like clicking on a sport climbing thread and getting mad that no one is talking about trad climbing.

Besides, if you read that someone spoke out against muslim aggression, then clearly someone is writing about muslim aggression. You just disproved your own point.

You're in America, where the christian ideology is the mainstream, and therefore often more topical. Again though, as you've shown us, there is plenty of stuff out there condemning muslim ideology. And you'd probably hear more about hinduism, for example, if it were the mainstream religion here.

Pretty sure you just did that, twice.

but if PR doesn't prove anything, then why do christians have to be outraged by his statements? isn't that the same as stereotyping and racism, things that got our country in trouble before? you can't go around denouncing every nutjob out there.
