I thought it would at least carry over to the new year.
Nice work!

Wow, all of this was a joke? All 10 pages of it? Well, you had me taken in, for sure...

Is it an early April's Fool?

I was just thinking of this thread again today, climbing at Red Rocks, b/c I realized that I only agreed with the guidebook grade on ONE route out of 4 that I climbed today, and only 1 out of 5 that I climbed yesterday. (some of them I would down-grade, some up-grade).

What about Rock Wars? 5.8? Yeah, I guess. Kind of pushing the envelope, but on an Eldo or Valley scale, probably. Sure, keep them honest. I'm fer it.

So I'm coming to the Red for a couple weeks in April. I've climbed several hard 11's there in the past (Dave the Dude, All Things Considered, Ro, Stay the Hand [was 12a at the time!]). I'd like to do some 12a's and b's that are considered standards for the grade, i.e., that won't get downgraded any time soon. Anyone have some favorites they'd care to list?

Left Flank is a good place for a few good, solid 12a's and b's. Too Many Puppies is a great 12a, pretty asthetic with neat movement. Mercy, The Huff is a pretty classic 12b. it used to be 12c so its probably solid at the grade. no super hard moves just long with a v2 boulder problems throughout. While you're out there I'd get on Wild Yet Tasty, a soft 12a but pretty fun. Infectious is a short but burly 12b, kind of the opposite of Mercy. and Sex Farm is 12b, I've never been on it but i've heard good things. the only one of these routes that i could see getting down graded in the near future is Wild Yet Tasty
